Committees

CMS wants you!

Community Montessori is looking for interested parents, grandparents, community leaders, etc. interested in furthering the goals of the school. At least one Board member will chair each of our committees. Those interested should have time available for committee meetings, completing research where/when necessary and assisting in presenting reports of summary findings/recommendations to the Board of Directors. We welcome everyone’s participation and thank you very much in advance for your time and effort!

Fundraising

Board Liason:  Angela Ruch

  • Review and analyze the effectiveness of past CMS fundraising efforts
  • Help create a "big picture" fundraising plan including immediate and long-range strategies
  • If possible, help to lead an Annual Fund campaign

Marketing

Board Liasons: Shelly Fitzgerald and Karen Willman

Members of this committee are asked to consider how they might work towards completion the following:

  • Identify the ways parents look for a school and that we are utilizing those ways for advertising (moms’ groups, internet, hard-copy?)
  • Make CMS “known” in the community—partnerships, advertising, Fishers Chamber
  • Educating community about Montessori in general and AMI specifically
  • Participating in new state-wide Montessori organization
  • Members of this committee would assist in the marketing plans of specific events—KIB, SF, etc. Review periodically the marketing plan in place and evaluate
